I will be taking FST-301, 394, 399, 496 next
semester with the possible addition of a PED class. This will be my first
semester as a senior here at UNCW and I am both nervous and excited about that.
I am nervous because I am very worried about managing the workload and the
stress it will no doubt induce. I transferred here with my Associates degree
and had little to do in the way of gen ed’s. Therefore, mostly, all of my
classes here will be solid blocks of very intense major specific classwork—and that’s
intimidating. However, this means I only have two more semesters of work here
before I graduate and that is something to which I am looking forward with
great anticipation. Before living here, I lived for three years in Asheville
with the lush green mountains and nature on my doorstep. I need to be somewhere
where the default is natural beauty to rejuvenate my soul. Wilmington is not
this.
